JCC Insight · Practical guide

How much does an online store cost in Portugal?

A store budget should separate building, operations and evolution, regardless of the chosen platform.

Prepare the catalogue and operations

A store is more than a product grid. Variants, photographs, descriptions, markets, payments and shipping influence the work required. Before comparing proposals, count the products and explain how orders will be handled.

If you already sell online, identify migration needs: catalogue, content, old URLs or integrations. The assessment should establish what can be retained and what needs separate work, without assuming everything must be rebuilt.

Project deliverable or operational requirement?

A proposal should distinguish launch settings, content and included features. Supplier costs and ongoing tasks such as product preparation, logistics and customer service do not become included just because the store has been built.

Do not select apps simply because they look useful. Identify the need, the recurring cost and who will configure and maintain them.

  • Initial catalogue and later changes
  • Agreed payments, shipping and countries
  • Identified imports and integrations
  • External licences, subscriptions and fees
  • Testing, revisions and operational handover

Compare the same scenario

Ask for a proposal with visible assumptions and exclusions. A small catalogue in one market is not directly comparable with an international migration. Start with what is needed to operate and plan evolution without promising guaranteed sales or growth.
